Fair Oak Cricket Club

Est. 1947

Fair Oak Cricket Club is a successful and dynamic ECB Clubmark accredited club situated on the outskirts of Eastleigh in Hampshire. Founded as a village side in 1947, we have played friendly and league cricket on pitches hired from and maintained by the Borough Council.

However, the club has undergone a dramatic transformation in recent years. In 1998 we moved into our new home, Lapstone Park, in Fair Oak, where, thanks to a supportive Parish Council and a dedicated team of club officials and helpers, we have exclusive use of a modern facility which is the envy of many of our visitors.

As a developing and ambitious club, we run four Saturday senior teams in the Hampshire Cricket League 1st XI in Southern Premier 3, 2nd XI in HCL County 2, 3rd XI in HCL County 4 (North) and our 4th XI in HCL Regional 3 (Central), we also have an evening XI.

Our Junior Section is a much admired, successful academy of developing cricketers. There is a team of over twenty qualified coaches led by ECB Staff coach Tony Oxley, who along with the management enable some 150 youngsters to develop their skills in a secure and challenging way, encouraging every individual to reach their cricketing potential. In recent seasons the club has produced twenty County players and over fifty representatives at district level.

Coaching sessions are held throughout the spring, summer and winter and are very well attended. All of our senior sides include talented young cricketers from our youth squads, who play key roles in the teams.
